Prerogative- It is our prerogative to vote for whom we choose.
Rampart- We were told in history class today that the ramparts played a vital role in the winning of many wars.
Contrive- He contrived a joke to play on the principal of his school.
Vile- The witch was very vile.
Imprecation- The sorcerer had put an imprecation on that girl.
Affront- He affronted her when he called her names.
Libation- During a church ceremony the members do a libation in the name of Christ.

Decree- I DECREE a meeting on the harmful effects of pollution on our environment.
Prerogative- It was her PREROGATIVE to stop the debate on the best ways to win the game.
Rampart- The RAMPART was used to protect her from the harmful attacks of her enemies.
Sovereign- The United States fought to have SOVEREIGN rights that couldn’t be taken away.
Requite- She sought to REQUITE her lover’s death and hunted his murderer.
Contrive- I CONTRIVED a plan to avoid being detected, sneak down the stairs, and grab a cookie before anyone noticed me.
Vile- The VILE smell coming from the attic could only mean that the racoon that was trapped had died.
Imprecation- After murdering the village elder’s daughter, he had to suffer the IMPRECATIONS.
Affront- The Joker’s bad entertainment was taken as an AFFRONT to the King.
Libation- The 18th Amendment prohibited LIBATION and the consumption of alchoholic beverages.

Vile, Decree & Requite- Beneath the vile and wicked queen the townspeople were very unhappy. So, the town crier decreed that they would all attend the queen’s royal ball in order to apologize for her cruel, cruel, reign. What the townspeople did not know is that this was really a part of the queen’s process of contrive.
